James Henry Laster, 61 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he threatened patrons and managers at both King Claw and McDonald’s on Shorter Avenue
Reports said that the incidents began at King Claw when Laster, while under the influence of alcohol, threatened to cut other customers with a knife. He then proceeded to threaten to kill the restaurant manager.
Laster then walked to a nearby McDonald’s where he threatned an empployee there.
Officers said that while being transported to the Floyd County Jail he slipped out of his handcuffs and threatened police officers. He then threatened to “break the neck” of another officer and “blow another’s brains out”
Laster is charged with four counts terroristic threats and acts, public drunk and disorderly conduct.
