Christian Anthony Hernandez, 34 of Rome, was jailed this week after reports said he was accused of robbing a woman on Leafmore Road.
Reports said that Hernandez “suddenly snatched” her cellphone and took it in his possession without permission.
He is also accused of preventing the woman from calling 911 for help after he damaged her property.
The incident occurred in front of two small children.
Hernandez is charged with robbery, two counts cruelty to children, criminal trespass and obstruction of a person making an emergency call.
