Gregory Wayne Bowman, age 72, of Rome, Georgia, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2026.
Gregory was born in Rome, Georgia, on May 26, 1953, son of the late Donald Watts Bowman Sr. and the late Ruby Cox Bowman. He was also preceded in death by his son, Kevin Matthew Eldridge, and his sister, Brenda Gale Bowman.
Gregory worked for Florida Tile as a Lab Technician for several years until his retirement. He loved spending time with his family and was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend. He will be missed by all.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Cheryl Lee Bennett Bowman; daughters, Christie Lee Stewart (Robert), and Tara Mixell; son, Roy Brent Eldridge; brother, Nick Bowman; grandchildren, Cameron W.M. Ely, Ashley Nicole Ely, Presley Jane Eldridge, Isabel Lark Freeman, Joseph LeFurgey, Kerry LeFurgey, and Walter LeFurgey; four great-grandsons, four great-granddaughters, several nieces and nephews, and beloved extended family.
In accordance with Gregory wishes, he will be cremated, and there will be no formal services.
