Traffic Stop Lands Rome Man in Jail on Drug Charge

Anthony Jamal Culver, 32 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he was found in possession of marijuana during a traffic stop on Turner McCall Blvd near W 1^st Street.

Officers said that Culver was originally stopped for a headlight violation when they detected a marijuana odor coming from his vehicle.  A search then resulted in them finding the drug.

Culver is charged with possession of marijuana and a headlight violation.
