Summer Chastain Barbour, 23 of Lawrenceville, was arrested on Friday after police said she delivered tobacco and drugs to an inmate of the Floyd County Prison that was on work detail at the Floyd County Animal Control Facility.
Reports stated that she gave the inmate three packs of Newport cigarettes and 20 pills, including Clonazepam and oxycodone.
Authorities said that all of the items were recovered by correctional officers.
The alleged crime occurred back on January 17th of this year.
Barbour is charged with possession of drugs and prohibited items by an inmate.
