Cody Allen Teal and Stevie Marie Thompson, both 26 of Rome, were arrested Wednesday during a traffic stop on US 27 at Southern Road. Reports stated that police pulled Teal over for not wearing a seat belt. He then proceeded to give officers false information about his identity.
A search of the vehicle resulted in police finding suspected methamphetamine, a scale and needles.
It was also discovered that Teal had an active warrant for his arrest.
Thompson was a passenger in the vehicle.
Teal is charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug related objects, giving false information to police and driving on a suspended license.
Thompson is charged with driving with no seat belt, possession of meth and possession of drug related objects.
