Nicholas Little Nic Byars, 39 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he repeatedly sold methamphetamine and fentanyl to undercover informants.
Officers said that between March 2022 and November 2023, Byars used a cellphone to arrange and deal the drugs.
In October 2023, Byars is also accused of filing a fake police report saying that his car, along with $7,482 in cash was stolen.
Byars was spotted this week and ran from police once contact was made. He was captured after a short case.
Byars is charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of meth with intent to distribute, sale of methamphetamine, false statements or writings, false report of a crime, two counts obstruction, three counts sale of a controlled substance, three counts use of a communication facility in commission of a felony involving a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, and contempt of court.
