A Rome woman is behind bars after authorities say an investigation uncovered a disturbing combination of alleged gang activity, a stolen handgun, dangerous drugs and the alleged involvement of a 14-year-old child. Destanie Sky Huckaby, 23, was arrested this week at her residence on Annie Aycock Avenue after authorities reportedly linked the home to multiple alleged offenses.

According to reports, investigators found Huckaby allegedly in possession of a stolen handgun along with nitrous oxide reportedly being used for recreational, non-medical purposes.

Police reportedly allege that Huckaby encouraged, aided or allowed a 14-year-old child to use nitrous oxide recreationally — an allegation that resulted in a charge of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Investigators also allege that Huckaby’s apartment was being used by members of the Bounty Hunter Bloods to store drugs. According to the reported allegations, the apartment was allegedly used for that purpose between April 29 and September 30, 2026.

Huckaby is charged with felony theft by receiving stolen property, unlawful participating in gang activity, unauthorized distribution in failing to keep records for permit inspections, possession/distribution of dangerous drugs and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
