Runners and walkers are invited to take part in the third annual Euharlee Covered Bridge 5K on Saturday, November 14, 2026. The race will begin at 8:00 a.m. near the Euharlee Welcome Center & History Museum, located at 33 Covered Bridge Road.

The scenic course will take participants along Covered Bridge Road and through historic Euharlee, finishing with a run through the Euharlee Covered Bridge. The course is open to runners and walkers of all experience levels.

Proceeds from the race will benefit Bartow County Shop with a Hero, a community-supported program that helps local children during the Christmas season.

“We do this because there are children in our own community who need a little help at Christmas,” said Investigator Johnathan Shirley with the Bartow County Sheriff’s Office, who leads Bartow County Shop with a Hero. “It is about making sure they have something special, clothing and other things they need, but it is also about giving them a good day with people who care about them. Every registration, donation and sponsorship helps us make that happen.”

During the annual Shop with a Hero event, participating children are paired with local public safety personnel and other community heroes for a special day of Christmas shopping.

“The Covered Bridge 5K brings together so many things that make Euharlee special: our historic downtown, our beautiful Covered Bridge and a community that is always willing to support its neighbors,” said Katie Gobbi, Euharlee’s Community and Economic Development Director. “Whether someone runs, walks, sponsors the race or simply makes a donation, their support will help create a meaningful Christmas experience for local children.”

Advance registration is $30 and will remain open through Sunday, November 98, at 11:00 p.m. Race-day registration will be available for $40. Registration and packet pickup will take place at the Euharlee Welcome Center & History Museum.

Awards will be presented to the top overall male and female finishers, the top Masters male and female finishers, and the top three finishers in each designated age group. The race will be held rain or shine.
