Ms. Stevie Marie Thompson, age 35, of Rome

Ms. Stevie Marie Thompson, age 35, of Rome, GA, passed away on Monday, August 24, 2026.

       Stevie was born in Rome, GA on September 2, 1990, daughter of Steve Connelly and the late Ethel Amanda Thompson Connelly. She was also preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents.

       Stevie loved all kinds of music and could always find joy in a good song. She loved doing her hair and makeup and took pride in her unique style and made sure she was done up before heading anywhere. Stevie was a beautiful soul, a loving mother, and someone whose life meant so much to the people who knew her. She will be greatly missed.

       Those left to cherish her memory, in addition to her father, are her 5 children, Aubrey Ivey, Abral Ivey, Talan Rogers, Connor Ivey, and Tatum Ivey; her siblings, Roxanne Thompson (Matthew Allred), Mary Lou Chatman (Brandon), Ski Johnson (Chris), and Candy Gardner; several aunts and uncles; numerous nieces and nephews; and countless friends.

       A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at 6:00pm in the chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, North Chapel with Rev. Micah Gillespie officiating.

       The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, from 5:00pm until 8:00pm, at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, North Chapel.
