Jonathan Richard Duke, 57 of Rome, was arrested after a traffic stop at Calhoun Road and Burton Road, where deputies say he failed to maintain his lane on GA Loop 1.
According to the affidavit, a K9 alerted on Duke’s vehicle during the investigation, prompting a search of both the car and Duke himself. Officers reported finding fentanyl and methamphetamine in his right front pocket.
Duke is charged with felony possession of fentanyl, possession of methamphetamine, failure to maintain lane, and having an uncleared windshield, both misdemeanors.
