A 39 year-old homeless Rome man, Wayne Bunyea, was arrested this week after reports said he allegedly shoved a 46‑year‑old woman to the ground before placing his hands around her throat, leaving visible red marks.
The document states Bunyea then grabbed and cursed at her in front of bystanders.
The incident occurred at a home in the Shannon village.
Bunyea is chared with battery and disorderly conduct, both misdemeanors.
