Rome Man Accused of Holding Gun to Wife’s Head, Making Recorded Threats

Evan Jacob Stratton, 26, of Rome, was arrested this week after officers responded to a domestic violence incident at 2221 Shorter Avenue.

According to the sworn statement, Jacob is accused of aggravated assault (FVA), battery (FVA), and terroristic threats (FVA).

The report states Stratron used a firearm as a deadly weapon, allegedly pressing it against the 21 year-old victim’s head while threatening to shoot her. Stratton then allegedly struck her with his fist.

Investigators say he also struck her in the face, causing visible injuries, and made additional threats to harm or kill her, some of which were captured on audio recordings.
