Mr. Carl Weyman Williams, age 85, of Rome

Mr. Carl Weyman Williams, age 85, of Rome, passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at his residence.

Mr. Williams was born in Atlanta, Georgia on August 21, 1940, son of the late Fred Lamar Williams and the late Ruby Ellen Davis Williams. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Addie Yarbrough Williams, by a daughter, Rebecca Ann Williams, by a brother, Julius Lee Williams, and by two sisters, Patricia Ann Williams and Fern Durden. Mr. Williams was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Prior to retirement, he worked as an Electronic Technician at Lockheed. He was a member of the Church of Christ and was a licensed pilot.

Mr. Williams is survived by two sons, Jeffrey Weyman Williams and Gregory Weyman Williams; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at 2pm in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, Oaknoll Chapel. Interment will follow in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens with the Rome American Legion Honor Guard presenting military honors.

The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, Oaknoll Chapel, on Wednesday from 1pm until 1:45pm.
