Rome Man Jailed After Hit and Run Wreck

Fabio Amir Estrada-Lopez, 20 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he was found with drugs following a hit and run on Turner McCall Blvd at East 12^th Street.

Reports said that Estrada-Lopez was driving recklessly along Turner McCall Blvd before causing a hit and run accident near East 12^th Street.   Police stated that Estrada-Lopez weaved in and out of traffic while going around a blind curve at a high rate of speed and cutting off a vehicle.   He is then accused of hitting another vehicle before leaving the scene.

Officers said that they later found Estrada-Lopez, where they also located marijuana in his possession.

Estrada-Lopez is charged with hit and run, speeding, reckless driving, improper lane change, and possession of marijuana.
