Ms. Gladys Catherine Adams, age 102, of Cartersville

Ms. Gladys Catherine Adams, age 102, of Cartersville, passed away on Monday, February 2, 2026, at a local healthcare facility.

Ms. Adams was born in Rome, Georgia on January 2, 1924, daughter of the late Charlie Cozier and the late Minnie Belle Ledbetter Cozier. She was also preceded in death by a son, Thomas Dale Adams, by a grandson, Nicholas Cantrell, and by three brothers. Ms. Adams worked for several years in the manufacturing industry. She was of the Pentecostal faith. She loved sewing, working in her flowers, gardening, and watching the 700 Club.

Survivors include three daughters, Beverly Fortenberry (Jimmy), Brenda Allen (Butch), and Patricia Little (Randy): twelve grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren with one on the way; seven great-great grandchildren with one on the way; a sister, Vivian Harris; nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services will be held on Friday, February 6, 2026, at 11am at Floyd Memory Gardens. Rev. Rick Jacobs will officiate.

Pallbearers are asked to meet at the cemetery on Friday at 10:45am and include Matthew Cantrell, Cole Allen, Benjamin Cantrell, Bleu Allen, Albert Little, Chad Turner, and Roy O’Berry, Jr.
