John Braswell Scott, 39 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he threatened to kill a police officer with his service weapon.
Police said that Scott refused to identify himself near the intersection of Broad Street and 3rd Avenue.
Reports added that the incident began after Scott was observed cursing and being loud and boisterous on Broad Street.
Scott is charged with disorderly conduct, willful obstruction and terroristic threats and acts.
