A Rome man was taken into custody this week after authorities said he was found smoking a cigarette inside a public building on North Broad Street.
According to reports, officers approached 50-year-old Jose Sain Reyes regarding the smoking violation when they discovered he was wanted on a failure-to-appear warrant. Reyes was then placed under arrest without incident.
He is charged with violating smoking regulations and failure to appear.
