A Rome woman was arrested this week after police say she assaulted a 59-year-old woman during a violent incident.
According to reports, 33-year-old Simone Janae Jackson used her arm to restrict airflow to the victim’s brain by strangulation. Authorities said Jackson then pulled the victim to the ground while several children were present.
Jackson was taken into custody and is charged with aggravated assault, disorderly conduct, and three counts of cruelty to children.
