A 63-year-old Rome man was arrested this week after authorities say he attacked another man inside a Calhoun Avenue residence.
According to police reports, Wayne Gamble Parket allegedly grabbed the victim by the throat and strangled him, an act investigators say was carried out with the intent to murder. Police added that Parket told the victim told the victim that he was going to shoot him.
The incident occurred at the victim’s home, where officers responded and conducted their initial investigation.
