A 34-year-old Rome man was taken into custody this week after authorities say he appeared intoxicated and engaged in lewd behavior on a public sidewalk.
According to reports, Blake Christopher Brownholtz was seen pulling down his pants, exposing himself, and defecating on the sidewalk near the intersection of Broad Street and 3rd Avenue. The incident occurred in front of a witness who alerted authorities.
Brownholtz was arrested at the scene and is charged with public drunkenness and public indecency, police said.
