Joshua Cleo Mize, 38 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he threatened to burn down a house and then fought with officers who were attempting to remove him from the residence.
After a foot chase, Mize proceeded to spit blood at two Floyd County police officers.
Reports added that Mize had been banned from Floyd County prior to the incident, which occurred at W. Big Indian Trail.
Mize is charged with two counts felony obstruction, misd obstruction, terroristic threats/acts, criminal trespass and two counts probation violation.
