Timothy Ray Smith, 63 of Rome, was arrested at his home on Althea Drive after police said they found multiple bags of marijuana along with the harvesting of the drugs.
Police said that the drugs in the bags weighed over an ounce. Two marijuana plants were also being harvested in his backyard. A search of the home also resulted in officers locating multiple marijuana grinders, digital scales and smoking devices. They also found two long guns and three handguns in his possession.
Smith is charged with possession of marijuana, two counts distribution of marijuana, possession of drug related objects and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
