Hattie Brazier, 95, was a woman whose life was defined by love, faith, and caring for others, passed away on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at her residence. Born on August 5, 1930, in Fannin County, Georgia to the late Alford Wright and the late Nellie Warren Wright. She grew up with strong values of family and hard work that shaped the legacy she leaves behind.
In April 1949, she married Rev, Carl E. Brazier, and together they built a home filled with faith, devotion, and laughter. Hattie worked for many years at Pepperell Manufacturing before retiring from Pharr Yarn Mill in 1995. Her most treasured role was always that of a caretaker for her family, her church, and anyone who needed a helping hand.
Hattie had a gift for making people feel seen, heard, and loved. Whether it was preparing meals, watching over little ones, or offering wisdom in quiet moments, she cared for so many throughout her life. Her gentle strength and steady presence became the heart of her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Carl E. Brazier, her sons, James & Johnnie Brazier, her parents, and by a sister, Mattie Pearson.
Hattie is survived by her daughter, Joan Wood; grandson, Gear Wood; granddaughters, Kimberly Keiser, Janice Howe, Joanna Canada, Deanna Davis,and Holly Montgomery; great grandchildren, Xaydie & Xander Keiser, Autumn, Anna & Gage Presley, Haleigh & Hunter Davis, Braden & Levi Mathis, and Josh & Kaycee Howe; along with 8 great-great grandchildren who will carry her love forward. Each one of them has been touched by her kindness and will remember her as the one who held the family together with warmth and faith.
Hattie’s legacy is not measured by the years she lived, but by the countless lives she touched. Her memory will live on in every hug, every shared meal, and every act of love her family continues to give.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at 2pm in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel. Interment will follow in East View Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, on Wednesday from 12pm until 1:45pm.
Pallbearers are asked to assemble at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, on Wednesday at 1:30pm and include active pallbearers, Xander Keiser, Gear Wood, Jonah Ingram, Lee Keiser, Royce Wood, Jr., and Gage Presley, and honorary pallbearer, Cody Smith.
