Summerville Man in Rome After Trying to Have Sexual Relations with Child

Alan Scott Holbrook, 37 of Summerville, was arrested in Rome after police said he had online conversations of a sexual nature with someone he thought to be under the age of 16 years-old.

Police said that Holbrook engaged in sexual conversations while asking her to send him nude photographs of herself.  He is then accused arranging a meeting spot in Rome where the two was scheduled to engage in sexual relations.

Officers added that after taking Holbrook into custody at the location he was found possession of Adderall, Oxycodone and Gabapentin.   The drugs were all in a bottle without a label.

Holbrook is charged with child molestation, obscene internet contact with a child, sexual exploitation of a child, possession of a schedule II controlled substance, possession of dangerous drugs, drugs not in original container and grooming a child for sexual servitude.
