Michael Wayne Amos, 52 of Rome, was arrested this week after police said they found him in possession of methamphetamine and a firearm.
Officers stated that a search of Amos vehicle near the intersection of Highway 411 and Callier Springs Road resulted in them finding a Taurus handgun and a baggie of meth.
Amos is charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
