Robert Lamar Gowan JR, 26 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he attacked his wife with his fist and then proceeded to delete videos off her cellphone.
Police added that when they arrived on the scene, Gowan refused to cooperate. He allegedly jerked his body away in an attempt to flee being arrested.
The victim was left with visible injuries to her face.
Gowan is charged with battery, criminal trespass and obstruction.
