Michael Wayne Messer Jr, 45 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he ran from three police officers in an attempt to avoid arrest.
Reports said that Messer ignored blue lights and sirens of the officers when he fled from them near the intersection of Watson and Alexander Streets.
Messer is charged with three counts obstruction.
