Two inmates at the Floyd County Prison, Timothy David Patnode, 41 of Cave Spring, and James Herbert Emory, 55 of Skiperville, AL, were booked into the Floyd County Jail this week after reports said they conspired with a civilian to sneak contraband inside the facility.
Reports said that Patnode was recorded on a telephone line arranging Ms. Bonnie Jo Upton to deliver the contraband to a designated spot so that it could be retrieved on work detail.
Officers were able to confiscate the contraband before the inmates retrieved it. Recovered was a 12-ounce tub of Stroker’s smokeless tobacco, Geek Bar vape (Meta Moon flavored), two rolls of black electrical tape, and numerous plastic baggies.
Both are charged with conspiracy to commit a felony, items prohibited by an inmate,e and use of a communication facility in commission of a felony.
