Ainsley Brianna Sutton, 22 of Armuchee, has been booked into the Floyd County Jail after reports said she started a fire that a burned 195 acres of wooded area off New Rosedale Road.
Reports said that Sutton started the fire after becoming angry with a family member.
Police added that Sutton also destroyed property that did not belong to her as well as a home that did not belong to her.
Authorities stated that numerous residents had to be evacuated from their home due to Sutton’s actions.
This was not Sutton’s first run in with the law. She was convicted in a wreck that killed an 18 year-old Armuchee woman back in 2021. (see story below)
Sutton is charged with two counts first degree arson, reckless conduct and destroy or damage any material used in detection or suppression of wildfires.
