A parent of a student at Armuchee Elementary School, Star Rebecca Roberts, 40 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said her 11 year-old child missed 31 days of school, with all 31 unexcused this school year.
Reports said that Roberts had signed a truancy letter back in January before continuing to allow her child to miss 7 additional days.
Roberts is charged with mandatory education of children.
