An arrest is pending following an investigation to the wildfires that scored nearly 200 acres in northern Floyd County on Sunday.
Reports said that the fire, which began behind a home on the 600 block of New Rosedale was deliberately started.
The fire spread across Highway 156 in two locations, putting the Southern Woods subdivision at risk and leading to evacuations.
An arrest is expected within the next 48 hours.
