Silver Creek Woman Jailed After Burning Child’s Book, Threatening to Kill Woman

Brittany Jean Cowan, 29 of Silver Creek, was arrested this week after reports said she threatened to kill another woman.

Reports added that she then chase a young child around the home and burned pages from her book, which caused “mental pain through criminal negligence.

The incident occurred at a home on Pleasant Hope Road.

Cowan is charged with terroristic threats/acts, 2^nd degree cruelty to children and probation violation.
