Several Rome High School FBLA students recently brought home awards from the region competition.

Several individuals placed well enough in their categories to advance to the state competition. Those individuals include:

  • Jorge Alvarado – First in Computer Applications
  • Tarianna (Belle) Anderson – Tenth in Personal Finance
  • Bryan Belteton – Eleventh in Business Communication
  • Adela Cabrera-Guzman – Ninth in Business Communication and seventh in Personal Finance
  • Samuel Hard – Second in both Financial Math and Personal Finance
  • Aruba Samha – Eighth in Personal Finance

Several other students also placed well earning medals at the region competition. Those students include:

  • Izak Exsted, Timahj Stubbs, and Nancy Puac-Mendez – Fifth in Marketing
  • Nayeli Granados, Charles Scott, and Love Singh – Fourth in Sports & Entertainment Management
  • Theodore Kislat – Third in Introduction to Event Planning
  • Yasmin Martinez – Fifth in Word Processing
  • Aruba Samha – Third in Help Desk
  • Timahj Stubbs – Fifth in Help Desk
  • Karla Vasquez-Perez and Briana Vasquez-Perez – Fifth in Graphic Design

“All of our students have been working very hard and I’m so excited to see so many of them place well,” Jane Moore, Rome High’s Business Technology Teacher and FBLA Adviser said. “We are so very proud of all these students.”
