John C Thompson, 71 of Cedartown, was arrested this week after a traffic stop for an out brake light led to felony drug charges.
Reports said that after being pulled over Thompson was found driving on a suspended license.
While taking him into custody, police said that they found Thompson in methamphetamine and a prescription drug that was not in its original container.
Thompson is charged with possession of meth, possession of a schedule II controlled substance, drugs not in original container, driving on a suspended license, failure to maintain lane and no operating brake lights.
