Javarick Davon McCain, 29 of Rome, was arrested at the Fairbridge Inn on Martha Berry Blvd after reports said he beat a 31 year-old woman in the face.
Report said that the victim suffered swelling and bruising to various parts of her body from the attack.
McCain is charged with battery.
