Eduardo Miguel Tizol Cox, 27 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he committed a hit and run at the intersection of Shorter Avenue and Hamilton Road.
Reports stated that Cox struck the woman’s back end and then abandoned his car and then fled the scene on foot. Cox’s identity was given by the owner of the vehicle to police. He also left his passport, driving citations and work order for the vehicle in the car.
After being found, police said he was discovered to have been driving under the influence of alcohol and without a valid driver’s license.
Cox is charged with hit and run, DUI, driving without license, open container and following too closely.
