Rome Woman Jailed for Abusing Terminally Ill Hospice Patient

Dolly Kay Womack, 47 of Rome, was arrested after reports said she abused a terminally ill hospice patient.

Reports said that Womack tossed the victim onto a bad, later bragging about doing so.  She is then accused of telling the victim that she was not going to give him paid medication and was going to strap him down on the bed.

She then allegedly denied the victim cigarettes, food and water while telling him he should stop fighting for his life.    Womack proceeded to tell the victim, “why do you want to keep living this way and that if it was her she would have already checked out”.

The abuse occurred between August 1^st and September 2^nd.

Womack is charged with exploitation/intimidation of an elderly/disabled person.
