A convicted felon, Robert Jacob Mize, 35 of Rome, was jailed this week after reports said he discharged a firearm at a home 4151 Alabama Highway home.
Reports went on to say that when questioned by police Mize make false statements to deceive the officers and impede the investigation by creating false impressions of the facts related to the investigation.
Mize is charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and obstruction.
