Officials have released the name of the man killed on Wednesday in a motorcycle accident.  According to Deputy Coroner John Hamilton, 67 year-old Barry Weems, of Rome,  was killed when his JiaJue 150 motorbike struck a Rome Public Works F 750 utility truck.

The GSP is still investigating the wreck.

Reports said the truck was northbound on North Broad Street when it turned left onto Harvey Street in front of a southbound Weems.

The body of Weems will be sent to the GBI crime lab for autopsy.
