Davares Laron Frazier, 45 of Cedartown, was arrested this week after reports said he led Rome Police on a reckless car chase after stealing his girlfriend’s Ring doorbell camera.
Reports said that when officers attempted to pull Fraizer over near the intersection of North 2nd Avenue and Martha Berry Blvd he drove at a high rate of speeding while running red lights. Frazier eventually stopped and then proceeded to flee on foot.
Frazier is charged with theft by taking, criminal trespass, attempting to elude police, failure to obey traffic control devices, speeding, obstruction, driving on a suspended license, reckless driving and DUI.
