Ikea Shanique Norwood, 32 of Birmingham, was jailed in Rome after reports said she conspired with an inmate at the Floyd County Prison to sneak drugs into the facility.
Authorities stated that Norwood was recorded over phone/video lines conspiring with Demarcus Tremble arranging to sneak 8.07 ounces of marijuana, Newport Cigarettes and rolling papers into the prison.
The arrangement called for Norwood to leave the items at an assigned work detail location for Norwood to obtain the next day.
Norwood is charged with items prohibited by an inmate, use of a communication facility in commission of a felony involving a controlled substance and possession of marijuana.
