The Floyd County Board of Elections has relocated its South Floyd voting precinct after a disagreement with the VFW Post 4911 on Cedartown Road.
The board has relocated the post to the Lakeview Building on the campus of Georgia Highlands College.
According to Floyd County Board of Elections Chair Jerry Lee the dispute with the post quartermaster began last election cycle when he told the elections officials that if they did not show up then the equipment then it would be “thrown in the street” after they called to ask if they had access to the building.
No decision has been made if the GHC will be the permanent location for the South Rome voting prescient.
