Jennifer Marie Henson, 38 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said she caused a 14 year-old child physical and mental harm during an attack on Maryland Drive.
Reports said that Henson hit the child in the face with her hand, causing swelling to her right eye. Henson proceeded to call the child a cunt in front of another small child.
Police went on to say that Henson was intoxicated during the attack, which occurred outside the home in public.
Henson is charged with battery, cruelty to children in the third degree, cruelty to children in the 1st degree and public drunk.
