Mickey Juan Ely, 58 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he attacked a 58 year-old man with a baseball bat.
Reports said that Ely swung the bat at the victim’s face while making threats.
Ely then proceeded to throw the bat and then charge at the victim.
The victim suffered a broken nose and cuts to his face during the altercation, which occurred at a home on Park Road.
Ely is charged with aggravated assault and aggravated battery.
