Joshua Rashaud Cooper, 35 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he shoved a 27 year-old woman to the ground.
The incident, which occurred at his home on Radio Springs Road, happened in front of at least three small children.
Cooper is charged with simple battery, and cruelty to children in the third degree.
