Rome Man Jailed for Stealing Vehicles from Pipeline Substation

Thomas Wyatt Spires, 43 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he cut into a fence surrounding a pipeline substation on Gribble Road in Aragon and stole numerous vehicles.

Reports said that Spires stole a Polaris 900 XP Ranger and a Kawaski 1100 Mule, both valued at over $3,000.

The thefts occurred back on March 18^th.

Spires is charged with two counts theft by taking a motor vehicle.
