Christopher Hosea Chambers, 41 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he was found illegally in possession of a firearm and drugs during a traffic stop at the intersection of High and Roy Streets.
Police said that after Chambers was found, officers discovered that he had been driving on a suspended license and in possession of a gun and marijuana.
Chambers is charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of marijuana, driving on a suspended license and three counts of contempt of court.
