Floyd County Jail Inmate Charged with Starting Fight with Another Inmate

An inmate at the Floyd County Jail, Camecka Shunta Snelling, 43 of Rome, is facing additional charges this week after reports said she punched another inmate in the face

Reports stated that Snelling punched Remika Shuntae Griffin, 36 of Rome,  in the face causing a bloodied nose.

Snelling is now charged with battery and felony unlawful violence in a penal institution.

Camecka Shunta Snelling, 42 of Rome, was arrested this week when reports said she barricaded herself in an office at the Krystal on Turner McCall Blvd in order to avoid arrest for bank card fraud.

Reports said that Snelling is accused of taking another’s bank card and making purchases at stores around Rome.  Police said that made purchases of $11.27 and $5,

Snelling is charged with theft by taking, financial transaction card fraud, identity theft fraud, obstruction and failure to appear.

Camecka Shunta Snelling, 42 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said she stole $114 from a wallet while working at the Burger King on Turner McCall Blvd.

The theft occurred bac on March 18^th.

Snelling is charged with theft by taking and probation violation.
