Justin David Bennett Runyon, 30 of Cedartown, was arrested in Rome after police said he committed a hit and run on Darlington Drive while driving intoxicated.
Reports stated that Runyon swerved off the roadway and struck a guardrail before leaving the scene of the accident on foot.
Police went on to say that after locating Runyon he was found to have been driving on a suspended license and under the influence of alcohol.
While being taken into custody, officers found him in possession of methamphetamine.
Runyon is charged with possession of meth, DUI, driving on a suspended license, hit and run and failure to maintain lane.
